Savi Davison shines anew, PLDT beats Creamline for PVL Invitational bronze

PLDT High Speed Hitters capped their 2026 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference campaign with a bronze-medal finish after defeating Creamline Cool Smashers, 25-20, 20-25, 25-21, 25-22, on Tuesday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Savannah Davison spearheaded the attack with a triple-double of 29 points, 15 excellent digs and 13 excellent receptions to be named Player of the Game for the High Speed Hitters.

Jovielyn Prado added 12 markers and 15 excellent receptions, while Kim Kianna Dy contributed 10 points for PLDT, which captured its second consecutive bronze medal this season.

The victory also gave PLDT its second straight win over Creamline in three days and allowed the defending champions to finish their title defense on the podium despite falling short of a repeat championship.

PLDT and Creamline split the first two sets before the High Speed Hitters regained the upper hand in the third frame.

The Speed Hitters then maintained their composure in the fourth set to close out the match in four sets.

The result came two days after PLDT spoiled Creamline’s bid for a Finals berth in the elimination-round finale, rallying from a set down to win in five sets.

Jaja Santiago-Minowa paced the Cool Smashers with 19 points, Jessica Galanza added 16 markers, while Diana Carlos and Ishie Lalongisip tallied 11 and 10 points, respectively. (Adrian Co)
