SBP chief reaches out to Gilas naturalized prospect McCullough
Chris McCullough’s wish to don the Philippine colors may finally come into fruition after Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas president Al Panlilio got in contact with him.
The former San Miguel import on Saturday tweeted a screenshot of an article that said he could be a possible naturalized player for Gilas Pilipinas.
“I’m on call,” wrote McCullough.
Panlilio replied to McCullough, telling the former Washington Wizard to send him a direct message.
“Chris, please DM me. Thanks,” replied Panlilio.
The SBP is currently in the process of putting together a naturalized player pool to bolster Gilas Pilipinas’ campaigns in future tournaments after parting ways with Andray Blatche.
McCullough has been publicly airing his desire to play for the Philippines.
