Scottie Thompson’s performance draws praise from fans and colleagues

It didn’t matter if Scottie Thompson’s playing time was limited throughout the game – it was quality over quantity for him, to say the least.

The fan-favorite guard from Ginebra only tallied three points in eleven minutes of action, but his intangibles were more than enough to for Gilas Pilipinas in the second half which resulted in a 92-81 comeback victory against Qatar in the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers on Monday.

While Team Pilipinas was still struggling to shoot from beyond the arc in the first half, the former NCAA MVP revved it up on the defensive side, while also pacing the team with his passes and four offensive boards.

Gilas fans, as well as his other colleagues, did not miss out on his another game-changing performance for the national team.

With his contribution and impact to the game, it’s safe to say that Thompson’s service will be much-needed in their fifth-window this November.
