Sean Chambers joins list of aspiring UST head coach
Sean Chambers hopes to land a coaching gig with the University of Santo Tomas (UST).
The former Alaska import in the 90s just submitted a letter of intent to the UST admin on Monday.
“I have officially submitted my letter of intent for the UST head coaching job,” Chambers confirmed on Spin.ph.
For the 55-year old, he wants to lead the plaayers in molding them not just as a great basketball talents, but also a responsible student-athletes.
“Once you get the right guys in there, you’re gonna be able to empower them, start with discipline, and education has to be at the forefront for these players,” Chambers said.
The vacant University of Santo Tomas (UST) coaching post, which was left by now-resigned mentor Aldin Ayo, is definitely up for grabs right now.
Chambers just joins a long list of coaching applicants like UST alumni Siot Tanquingcen, Chris Cantonjos, Estong Ballesteros, Ed Cordero, Gilbert Lao, Potit de Vera, and Aris Dimaunahan, as well as Rain or Shine assistant coach Chris Gavina.
