Sedrick Barefield reportedly agrees in principle to Blackwater contract extension

Blackwater Bossing guard Sedrick Barefield has reportedly agreed in principle to a contract extension with the PBAL team, signaling a possible continuation of his stint with the franchise.

According to an insider by Fastbreak columnist Homer Sayson, Barefield bypassed his agent and negotiated directly with Blackwater team owner Dioceldo Sy to work out the agreement.

Barefield emerged as one of the Bossing’s key offensive contributors in the PBA Season 50 Governors’ Cup, averaging 21.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.

The 6-foot guard’s scoring production made him a major part of Blackwater’s campaign, as the team looks to build on its roster heading into future competitions.

While the parties have reportedly reached an agreement in principle, further details of the contract extension have yet to be disclosed. (By the Staff)
