Shaquille O’Neal criticizes Thunders’ sloppy ball game
With Oklahoma Thunders losing again versus Portland Trail Blazers 98-111 on their Game 4 Monday (Manila time), NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal addressed his dismay over the overall ball game of the Thunders.
In NBA on TNT, the four-time champion weighed in the poor chances of the Thunders against their opponent. O’Neal commented critically, “They are playing hero ball and taking crazy shots.”
The reason for O’Neal’s remarks were because the Thunders are not finding their groove as a team and are rather playing the game individually. Had they been like the Boston Celtics with their great team ball, they would have given a better performance on court. Adding to the mess is Russell Westbrook who’s having a bad night with only 5-of-21 from the field and only scoring 14 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Furthermore, Paul George’s 32-point output just wasn’t enough to take the Thunders to the win.
The Trail Blazers are currently leading the series 3-1.The Thunders must win their next game against Portland on Wednesday or they will fail to reach the NBA Finals once again. (Janiel Abby Toralba)
