Slaughter towers over Fajardo, Tautuaa, Kramer, Belo for PBA Player of the Week


Greg Slaughter was named PBA Press Corps Player of the Week following magnificent back-to-back performance in the second week of the Philippine Cup.

In a report by, Slaughter started the season with 24 points, 2 rebounds and 4 blocks in leading Ginebra to an 89-78 victory over long-time rival Magnolia Hotshots on Christmas Day at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.

The Best Player of the Conference of the PBA Governors Cup notched 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks in an all-around effort lead Ginebra to a 104-97 victory over Globalport last Sunday.

Slaughter overshadowed the magnificent outings of other big men like Phoenix’s Doug Kramer, TNT’s Moala Tautuaa, San Miguel’s June Mar Fajardo and Blackwater’s Mac Belo.
