SMB suspends Santos, Nabong, Tubid for practice scuffle
San Miguel has indefinitely suspended Arwind Santos, Kelly Nabong, and Ronald Tubid for their roles in a tussle during their team practice last Sunday.
In a statement Wednesday, San Miguel said that the conflict among the players “has been resolved, and the incident occurred away from the public eye.”
However, the players are still being sanctioned as “the San Miguel organization does not tolerate unsportsmanlike behavior.”
It was reported last weekend that a scuffle broke out in San Miguel’s practice involving the three players and their injured import, Dez Wells.
San Miguel is set to play TNT KaTropa in a crucial game on Wednesday night at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
The Beermen currently have a 6-4 win-loss record and are gunning for a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals.
