SMC director Chua to Abueva: ‘Ayusin mo trabaho mo’

Newly-acquired Magnolia forward Calvin Abueva has finally talked to San Miguel Corporation sports director Alfrancis Chua, and things went well between the two.

In fact, Chua said that he wants “The Beast” to end his career with SMC group.

“Sabi niya sa akin, ‘mas gusto ko, dito ka na mag-retire. Kasi dito, mas alaga ka’,”Abueva recall in his interview with The Chasedown.

Abueva and Chua once had an encounter in 2014 — which is the ‘nganga’ gestures towards former Ginebra director back when he was in Alaska.

Good thing is that it’s all in the past now, and Chua is looking forward to a healthy working relationship with Abueva.

“Sabi niya, basta ayusin mo trabaho mo dito, gaganda buhay mo,” said Abueva.
