Sorpresang bunot! Thirdy makes the cut, joins Team Pilipinas final 12
At just 22-years of age, Thirdy Ravena officially becomes a part of Team Pilipinas senior roster.
The announcement was made Tuesday as the Ateneo standout joins the rank of the elite on their battle against Qataris on February 21 for the 2019 Fiba Asia World Cup qualifiers.
Joining Thirdy is returning national team member Mark Barroca, whose performance during 2018 PBA Governors’ Cup finals prompted coach Yeng Guiao to include him in the pool.
Other guards include Magnolia’s Paul Lee, Ginebra’s Scottie Thompson, Rain or Shine’s Gabe Norwood, San Miguel’s Marcio Lassiter and TNT’s Jayson Castro.
Manning the front will be Ginebra’s Japeth Aguilar, NLEX’s Poy Erram, TNT’s Troy Rosario and SMB’s June Mar Fajardo.
Also included in the lineup is Andray Blatche who’ll make a comeback after being not included in the past window.
Raymond Almazan and Roger Pogoy didn’t make the cut as the former reportedly suffered an injury while the latter still has a one-game suspension due to the infamous basketbrawl.
