Spencer Dinwiddie replaces last name on jersey to ‘Trillion’
The NBA has allowed its players to replace their names on jersey for social justice statement, and Spencer Dinwiddie came up with a bold one.
In fact, the Brooklyn Nets chose the word “Trillion” to be customized in his jersey, explaining that the United States currently has an overall debt of $26 trillion dollars.
Ironically, Dinwiddie also currently wears jersey number #26 — which only makes sense regarding his choice of statement text on his Nets uniform.
“If you’re wondering what I’m gonna put on the back of my jersey it’ll be “Trillion”,” the 27-year old tweeted.
“A lot of issues at the moment. I think the fact that the country is 26 (ironically) Trillion dollars in debt is high on the list.”
