Standhardinger sorry for ‘unintentional’ hit on Abueva

San Miguel’s bruiser Christian Standhardinger loses his cool after a rebound scuffle with Phoenix’s Calvin Abueva that saw the 6’10 bigman land an apparent kick on the latter’s groin area.
The act caused the Fil-German center the game and a P20,000 fine from the PBA.
Standhardinger though apologized for the hit after the game but stressed that it was not intentional on his part to hit the Phoenix forward.
“I feel very sorry for accidentally, and that’s the most important thing. But I think he is fine and he was able to finish the game,” Standhardinger said.
“He pulled me down and I fell down. I tried to run away and try to run back on defense and I accidentally hit him,” he racalled.
San Miguel leads the PBA Philippine Cup semifinal series against Phoenix, 2-0.
