Steve Nash prepares home games without Kyrie Irving
The Brooklyn Nets are bracing themselves for the upcoming 2021-22 season without Kyrie Irving for home games due to his unvaccinated status.
Although the superstar guard has been able to practice in Brooklyn, he is still not allowed to suit up at Barclays Center due to local vaccination mandate.
“I think we recognize he’s not playing home games,” Nash said. “We’re going to have to for sure play without him this year. So it just depends on when, where and how much.”
Irving has been one of the few high-profile players who have refused to get vaccinated.
The Nets are considered as favorite to win the NBA title, with former MVPs Kevin Durant and James Harden leading the squad.
