Swab testing in PBA postponed due to MGCQ
The PBA decided to postpone the supposed swab testing of players on August 6 and 7.
This development came only less than 24 hours after Malacañang announced that Metro Manila will return to much stricter modified enhanced community quarantine starting on August 4.
“Ipapa-move namin testing natin,” said the league commissioner Willie Marcial.
Because of the sudden shift to MECQ dur to the continuous rise of COVID-19 cases, the PBA has also postponed the scheduled training on August 10 or 11.
All gyms and fitness centers are closed under MECQ, which is why all teams’ training facility will remain close.
“Naiintindihan natin na para ito sa kaligtasan ng mga mas nakararami kaya kailangan nating sumunod,” Marcial added. “Ang gusto lang natin, maging parte ng solusyon at hindi ng problema.”
