Tanduay stuns Café France using last quarter rally



Tanduay Rhum Masters handed Café France Bakers their first loss, 84-80, after capping the fourth quarter with a 32-16 run in the 2016 PBA D-League Foundation Cup.

Café France and Tanduay both registered a 3-1 win-loss record, trailing behind undefeated Phoenix Accelerators at the top spot.

The Bakers looked in control of the game after leading by 17 points in the first half, 47-30. But a regrouped and valiant Rhum Masters grinded in the third and fourth quarter to keep the lead on striking distance and eventually made a come from behind victory.

Adrian Santos, Reden Celda, Gelo Alolino, Louie Vigil and Jeff Javillionar capitalized in their offensive momentum and combined for 33 points in the final frame alone, and helped Tanduay to secure the victory.

Alolino scored 22 points and dished three assists while Santos had 17 points. Celda added 12 points, six coming from fourth quarter.
