WBA and IBF super bantamweight king Marlon Tapales will be at ringside when Stephen Fulton and Naoya Inoue duke it out for the WBC and WBO 122-pound titles in Tokyo, Japan, on July 25.
Philboxing reported that Tapales recognized the significance of the matchup and was eager to assess the skills of his potential foes.
Tapales is expected to be lined up to face the victor for the undisputed super bantamweight championship.
Joining Tapales at ringside are his manager, JC Manangquil of Sanman Boxing, and promoter Sean Gibbons of MP Promotions.
Tapales won the WBA-IBF diadem by stunning previously unbeaten Murodjon Akhmadaliev of Uzbekistan in their title tiff last April.
