Terrence Jones is PBA Commissioner’s Cup Best Import

As expected TNT KaTropa’s Terrence Jones has been named the Best Import of the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

The former NBA player has been nothing short of impressive in his first foray in Asia’s first pro league, posting norms of 30.2 points, 15.7 rebounds, 7.5 assists, 2.8 blocks, and 1.8 steals through the semis.

According to PBA stats chief Fidel Mangonon III, Jones has five triple-doubles in the mid-season tournament so far, which is the most in a conference since Kenny Redfield had six for Pepsi in the 1993 Governors’ Cup.

The 6-foot-9 forward beat San Miguel Beermen counterpart Chris McCullough and dethroned Barangay Ginebra San Miguel’s Justin Brownlee for the award.

Jones is currently averaging 35.3 points, 14.3 rebounds, 8.0 assists, 3.7 blocks, and 2.0 steals in the title series.
