FORMER professional basketball player David Semerad and actress Gwen Zamora-Semerad are bringing their family life to television through a new reality series set to premiere on Bilyonaryo News Channel this weekend.
Titled “The Semerads: Halfie Together,” the original BNC production will give viewers an inside look at the couple’s marriage, careers, parenting journey and life with their children, Cooper and Amber.
The series is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, September 27, at 7 p.m.
The show will follow the Semerads through both major family milestones and everyday experiences, including family meals, travel, work, parenting challenges and decisions affecting their growing household.
It will also explore how David and Gwen balance their professional responsibilities with raising children from a multicultural background while maintaining their relationship as husband and wife.
Gwen described her relationship with David as one built on friendship.
“Best friends kami,” she said, describing her husband as “ang lalaking bersyon ko.”
The couple also acknowledges that they do not always approach parenting situations in exactly the same way. Their shared goal, however, is to support one another while raising Cooper and Amber to become good people.
Their children will also play a central role in the series.
Cooper, the older sibling, has grown from helping care for his younger sister Amber into becoming her playmate and occasional rival. Amber, meanwhile, brings her own personality to the family and knows when to seek the attention of her parents.
The show is expected to feature both the lighter moments of family life and the challenges that come with raising children while pursuing careers and building a home together.
“The Semerads: Halfie Together” will air on Bilyonaryo News Channel beginning September 27 through Free TV Channel 31, Cignal Channel 24, SKY TV Channel 31, GSAT TV Channel 40, SatLite Channel 61 and CableLink Channel 67.
The program will also be available through Samsung TV Plus, TCL Smart TV, YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Amasian TV, Cignal Play, Blast TV and kAPPitBahay! powered by Global Filipino Network. (Adrian Co)
