Thirdy Ravena on his pick between Adamson and UP in Finals

Ateneo Blue Eagles have made a return trip to the Finals for the third straight time on Sunday.

However, this will be the first time that they will face a different squad this Season 81, as the La Salle Green Archers, who made a back-to-back Finals appearance, were already out of the playoff equation.

Ateneo will now have to wait the winner of the Adamson Soaring Falcons and UP Fighting Maroons do-or-die showdown on Wednesday.

“May the best team win. It’s been a dogfight the last game so we’ll see,” said Thirdy Ravena who tallied 22 points, seven rebounds, and four assists in Ateneo’s 80-61 win against FEU.

UP and Adamson both saw themselves in a tight matchup especially in the late stretches of the game, but the former would escape with a 73-71 victory on Saturday.

When the Ateneo forward was asked who they want to face in the championship round, this was his response.

“Hindi naman kami parang pumipili ng kalaban,” Ravena stated.

“We’re just here to prepare. with the time given to us, we have to better ourselves as individuals and as a team, so, right now we’re focusing on what’s important which is us,” he added.

There you have it, Ravena and the rest of the Blue Eagles are still looking to defend their crown.
