Mary Christine Ecalla has chosen to take her talents elsewhere.
In a formal request, the second-year spiker has sought release from the University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses, with the intention of transferring to the University of the East Lady Warriors.
“Lefty spiker Tin Ecalla’s request to be released from the UST Tigresses’ roster has been granted,” according to a post by long-time Golden Tigresses supporter Benggadora.
“She informed her coaches that she will be transferring to UE and playing for the Lady Warriors after serving residency,” the post added.
During the pre-season tournaments leading up to the UAAP Season 85 women’s volleyball competition, Ecalla showcased her skills as a player for the Golden Tigresses.
Ecalla will be joining the growing list of recruits for the Lady Warriors, a team that receives support from businessman Frank Lao.
