‘Toxic!’ KD blasts OKC organization and community
It wasn’t just Kevin Durant who burned the bridges to OKC Thunder.
In an exclusive interview with Wall Street Journal, the newly-signed Brooklyn Nets star described how toxic his homecoming was in Oklahoma City back when he was still with the Golden State Warriors.
“I’ll never be attached to that city again because of that,” said the 2014 MVP.
Durant also revealed that he was supposed to resign once again in OKC, but it was the fanbase and organization that made him change
“I eventually wanted to come back to that city and be part of that community and organization, but I don’t trust nobody there. That s— must have been fake, what they was doing. The organization, the GM, I ain’t talked to none of those people, even had a nice exchange with those people, since I left,” Durant stated.

The 10-time NBA All-Star first left OKC in free agency, only to build a superteam at the Bay Area in 2016.
KD is currently rehabbing his right Achilles after rupturing it in Game 5 of the Finals against Toronto Raptors, where they ended up as eventual champs.
