That was awkward for Dwight Howard.

Howard first tweeted that he loves the Lakers Nation will stay with the Los Angeles Lakers in free agency.

However, the former All-Star big man would delete his tweet and Shams Charania of The Athletic later announced that he signed with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Still, Howard had a career-resurgence with the Lakers as a backup center with game averages of 7.9 points and 7.3 rebounds, while also winning his first-ever championship in L.A.
