A jersey typo involving the University of the East (UE) Lady Warriors volleyball team drew attention online after a missing letter was spotted on the team’s uniforms.

Photos of the Lady Warriors showed the word “UNIVERSITY” misspelled on the front of their red jerseys, prompting social media users to point out the error.

Photographer and volleyball follower Jomari Carreon shared additional information about the jersey, including its photo details, amid questions over whether the image had been AI-generated.

Jersey Haven later acknowledged the mistake in an update, joking that “The ‘R’ was on vacation.”

“We caught the typo, owned it, and fixed it,” the supplier said.

Jersey Haven confirmed that a new jersey with the correct spelling would be issued, putting an end to the confusion surrounding the typo.
