UPIS Junior Lady Maroons standout Angela Jackson reportedly commits to UST Golden Tigresses

Mary Angela Jackson, a standout from the University of the Philippines Integrated School Junior Lady Maroons, is reportedly set to join the University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses for her college career.

Volleyball insider Fabio Menta revealed in a post that the 5-foot-11 Jackson opted for the University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses as her college destination, selecting them over the De La Salle University Lady Spikers.

“With a last assault and an offer she could not possibly refuse, UST “steals” promising Rookie, 5’11” Opposite Angela Jackson from DLSU,” Menta wrote on his Facebook page.

Menta, who previously trained Jackson during her time at UPIS, further stated that the talented Junior Lady Maroons hitter has already begun her training with the Golden Tigresses in preparation for the upcoming season.

FastBreak’s attempts to contact UST women’s volleyball team officials for comment have been unsuccessful as of the time of posting, with no response received.

The reported arrival of Jackson comes as a welcome addition to the Golden Tigresses, especially considering the departure of Eya Laure, who recently joined the Chery Tiggo Crossovers in the Premier Volleyball League.
