The Phoenix Suns are determined to form a competitive team that can support their “Big Three” of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal in their quest for a championship.
On the first day of free agency, Phoenix secured commitments from five players to join their squad next season.
Yuta Watanabe will be joining Durant in Phoenix after a career year with the Brooklyn Nets, where he shot 44 percent from deep last season.
The Suns will also sign big man Drew Eubanks to a 2-year veteran minimum deal.
Damion Lee has agreed to remain in Phoenix on a two-year deal. He averaged 8.2 points last season as a backup guard.
Chimezu Metu and Keita Bates-Diop are also reportedly signing with the Suns to strengthen their frontcourt.
The Suns had to part ways with key players like Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson to acquire Durant last season.
Chris Paul has also been traded to the Washington Wizards in exchange for Beal. (Mark Patriarca)
