No one from La Salle saw that loss coming against UP.

The Green Archers were even up by 14, but they would collapse in the late game once again, which gave them a record 2-4

Most fans would view that the Taft-based squad has slowly regressed, but that’s not how head coach Gian Nazario sees his team right now.

“One thing that I know, and one thing that the team know is that we’re getting better,” said Nazario.

“We just have to translate those games into wins.

Still, La Salle were just several seconds away from winning the matchup, if it wasn’t for Juan Gomez De Liaño’s game -winning triple that broke their hearts.

However, this is not the time for the Green Archer to think about their tough losses in this tight competition.

“We can’t really put our heads down at this point. We just have to stick and play together, and nakita naman sa game eh. We understand that UP is a good time, and it could have gone either way,” Coach Gian shared.

La Salle is about to conclude their first round campaign aganist the surging UST Growling Tigers, and Nazario only wants to stay consistent on how his players approach the game for them to bounce back in the next round.

“It’s just us getting better on both ends, no matter what tean are we playing with.”
