What is D-Wade’s stand on Heat’s acquisition of Andre Iguodala

The Miami Heat made an aggressive move ahead of the NBA trade deadline, dealing forward Justise Winslow to the Memphis Grizzlies as part of a package to acquire veteran forward Andre Iguodala.

The Heat, one of the contenders from the East, also agreed to a two-year, $30 million extension with the former Golden State Warriors champion. However, the second year of the Iguodala extension is a team option.

Former Heat guard Dwyane Wade could not help but commend the Heat office on the acquisition of Iguodala, tweeting:

Winslow replied to his former teammate, putting a cloud of awkwardness into the discussion.

Wade and Winslow had a good run in 2015 for the Heat when the latter was still a rookie.

As for his former teammate Winslow being dealt, Wade said:

Winslow, taken at No. 10 by the Heat 2015 NBA draft, has appeared in only one game since Dec. 4 due o a lower-back bone bruise, part of an injury history that has seen him missed 136 games over his Heat tenure.

With 34-15 record, the Heat is on its way for a playoff return and Iguodala’s addition will surely a big boost.

Iguodala’s 145 postseason games stand third in the NBA preceeded only LeBron James and the Heat’s Udonis Haslem.
