Will Pia Gaiser return to action?

One of the harrowing injuries in recent memory was that of Pia Gaiser. The Milo poster child suffered a freak ACL tear during UP’s game against NU in the past UAAP season, effectively putting her on the shelf for the remainder of what has been a remarkable collegiate career.

But after nine months of therapy and struggle, the former Lady Maroon emerged victorious in her battle.

After 9 months of therapy.. I passed the final test!! All the tears, the what ifs, frustrations, playing only 4 games for my last UAAP, fears, questioning my existence to whats next and even wishing everything that happened was all just a dream.. is far over. . . Thank you to my PT Mike, Coach CJ (also to all the PTs and Coaches in Moro!) and Doc Canlas who stuck with me with all my tears, pushed me to my limits and ofcourse gave me motivation which helped me remove my fear! . . Hopefully If I will return, I will return with a new perspective…. Many things before I got injured was taken for granted. In the process I realized how lucky are the people who can walk, run, sit and stand. And I didnt know that I had to learn those again during the process which made me more appreciative of what I have and can do now. . . All we can do is trust and accept all the plans He has for us. ❤️

The libero has learned a lot from her injury. “Hopefully If I will return, I will return with a new perspective. Many things before I got injured was taken for granted. In the process, I realized how lucky are the people who can walk, run, sit and stand. And I didn’t know that I had to learn those again during the process which made me more appreciative of what I have and can do now,” Pia shared in an IG post.

With all the action going on in Philippine volleyball today, will we see Pia join a semi-pro team soon?
