Wong, Catantan settle for silver medals
After a 1-2 sweep of the triathlon events, the gold medal proved elusive once more for Team Pilipinas in the 2017 Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Agatha Chrystenzen Wong ended the long wait in wushu by taking the silver medal in the women’s taijijian event.
Wong scored 9.65 points but has to settle for second place after Lindswell of Indonesia notched 9.68 to win the gold. Audrey Chan of Malaysia took the bronze with 9.64 points.
Fencer Samanta Catantan added another silver in the women’s individual foil category while Maxine Esteban took the bronze.
