Jov Gonzaga and Rachel Anne Daquis’ partnership is often considered one of the best team-ups in Philippine volleyball, and even Alyssa Valdez, the “Phenom,” agrees.
Though they now play for different club teams, their friendship endures.
Joining them as bridesmaids for Cignal HD Spikers’ Roselyn Doria was Valdez, who shared a photo of the two in their stunning red dresses, accompanied by a short, heartfelt message.
“You both are a source of inspiration on and off the court,” Valdez stated.
Both Gonzaga and Daquis recently made comebacks to their volleyball careers after taking breaks to focus on personal matters.
Gonzaga now plays for the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles, while Daquis has signed with the Farm Fresh Foxies.
Before their separation, the two spent several years playing together for the Cignal HD Spikers.
