Promising Filipina tennis star Tennielle Madis of the Philippine Tennis Academy (PTA) claimed both the singles and doubles titles at the 2024 Seed Academy Cup International Junior Championships in Changhua, Taiwan, this week.
The second-seeded Madis showcased her dominance, winning the singles crown without dropping a set and conceding just seven games across five matches. She defeated Japan’s third seed, Rira Kosaka, 6-0, 6-4 in the final.
This victory marks Madis’ fifth singles title in just eight events, adding to her wins at J30 Makati PHINMA Week 1 and Week 2 in July, and J60 tournaments in Colombo (Sri Lanka) in September and Nonthaburi (Thailand) in October.
Madis also teamed up with PTA teammate Stefi Aludo to secure their fourth doubles title together.
