De La Salle University (DLSU) product Erika Santos has ended her three-year stint with her first professional club, the PLDT High Speed Hitters.
Santos took to Instagram on Monday to officially announce her departure, marking the start of a “new chapter” in her volleyball career.
“After three unforgettable years representing PLDT, the time has come for me to turn the page and embrace a new chapter,” she wrote.
The veteran opposite spiker shared how she would miss team routines, morning practices, and pre-game bonding sessions while expressing her gratitude to her “incredible teammates and dedicated coaches.”
“I’m excited for what lies ahead, yet I know I’ll deeply miss our morning gym and practices, our pre-game kulitans, and the simple joy of working toward a shared dream,” she added.
While Santos has yet to reveal her next destination, support poured in from her teammates and fans.
PLDT middle blocker Jessey de Leon commented, “KANSTERS this post is making me cry!!! I will never forget all the fun memories we shared. 🥺 Love u wherever u choose to suit up! Will always be proud of your progress.”
After a relatively quiet college career at DLSU, Santos blossomed with the High Speed Hitters, showcasing her reliability as an attacker.

“It is with pride that we will always remember it was with PLDT where you spread your wings and started to really fly.”
