James Yap, honored and thankful to join the PBA’s 10k Club

James Yap isn’t done rewriting the PBA’s history books.

The two-time PBA MVP became the first player to enter the 10,000-point club since Jerry Codinera in 2001 – the 15th player in the league history.

And the Big Game felt overwhelmed by his newest milestone: “Honored ako to be part of the PBA’s 10k Club. Gusto ko magpasalamat kay God, sa PBA, sa teammates ko noon at ngayon, at shempre sa fans. Kung wala kayong lahat, hindi ko maabot ito. Thank you po! #wearepba 🏀🏀🏀”

The Rain or Shine veteran gunner was later awarded the game ball in a simple ceremony at midcourt as he fiired a right corner trey in the third quarter to trim down the Elasto Painters’ deficit to 64-61.

Congratulations!
