FOR years, Chris Paul and Russell Westbrook battled as two of the NBA’s fiercest point guards.
They competed for MVPs, led franchises, faced each other in the playoffs and built Hall of Fame-worthy careers along the way.
Now, with both reportedly calling time on their NBA journeys, the two former superstars are set to celebrate the next chapter together.
According to former NBA player Matt Barnes, Paul and Westbrook are planning a vacation with their wives, a chance to finally step away from the game and look back at everything they accomplished.
“I just talked to CP two days ago,” Barnes shared. “He and Russell Westbrook are going on vacation. They’re taking their wives on vacation.”
Barnes said the trip will give the two legendary guards a chance to relax and celebrate the end of an era.
“Two of the greatest PGs are going to kick it up in the sand, have some drinks, and really just celebrate because this is the end of Russ and CP’s careers.”
From years of competing against each other to now sharing a vacation after retirement, the journey has come full circle.
No more game plans. No more playoff battles. No more chasing wins.
Just CP3 and Russ, their families, the beach and a well-deserved toast to two unforgettable NBA careers. (Jesus Nathaniel Valdez)
