After Ginebra’s import suddenly left in the middle of Game 5 of the PBA Governors’ Cup Finals, Talk ‘N Text import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson expressed his hope for Justin Brownlee’s speedy recovery.
Brownlee was forced to exit the match in the third quarter due to food poisoning.
In the absence of Brownlee, the Gin Kings had to concede a 104-95 defeat in Game 5, giving the Tropang Giga a 3-2 series lead and bringing them closer to securing the PBA Governors’ Cup title.
“I just want him to feel better,” said Hollis-Jefferson.
The TNT import delivered a triple-double performance, scoring 32 points in addition to collecting 16 rebounds and dishing out 10 assists.
“He’s human. I wish no food poisoning to no one. He’s a phenomenal person, I just want him to feel better. Take care of whatever he needs to.”
He offered his prayers for Brownlee.
“If he can play the next game, let’s do it… But it’s about taking care of yourself. I gonna pray for him and send my well wishes to him,” said Hollis-Jefferson.
